Privacy policy

Tsugi Anime is an app for iPhone and iPad, and a website at tsugianime.com. This page explains what happens to your data when you use either one.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no servers of our own.

In the app, your likes, dislikes and saved shows stay on your device. The home screen widget reads them from the same device. If you delete the app, they're deleted too.

On the website, your likes, dislikes, saved and skipped shows are kept in your browser's storage on your device. They're never sent anywhere, and the site sets no cookies. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. We don't link these to you or use them to track you.

What connects to the internet

• Cover art loads straight from AniList's image servers when a cover is shown. Like any image download, this shares your IP address with AniList. Their privacy policy applies.
• Links you open, like a streaming service, a TikTok or YouTube search, or a web search, open in that service's app or your browser. Their own privacy policies apply. We don't track which links you open.

Where the show information comes from

Show titles, descriptions, tags and cover art come from AniList. Ratings come from AniList, combined with MyAnimeList scores where available. Cover art, titles and studio names belong to their owners and are shown only to identify each show. Tsugi Anime is an independent app. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by AniList, MyAnimeList or any animation studio, and it doesn't host any episodes or streams.

Children

We don't collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
